I used this to hang a ceiling fan from my vaulted ceiling. It worked great. It screwed right into the fan, it was a bit tight to get it lined up with the hole but I was eventually able to get it lined up and install the safety bolt. It mounted very securely and I have no worries about it falling. Very happy with this and this was also cheaper than the big box stores.
